GARDEN GIRLS encourages connection, curiosity, and creativity through the power of plants! Please follow GIRLS CAN DO IT TOO, Inc. on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date with their interactive offerings for young women and girls, ages 12-17.

“How does your garden grow?” | At the Gainesville Giving Garden, we learned about the generosity of high-turnover crops, the importance of local seed banks, and the fullness of edible plants. Coloring sheet seed packets and seedlings, snacking straight from the garden, and a bit of sunshine and rain, made for a satisfying Saturday.”

BLIXEL: The (Re)Stock Image Project partnered with UF College of The Arts to contribute to The Black Lunch Table’s ongoing BLT Photo Booth series at The Harn Museum of Art for their first Photobooth in the state of Florida.

Hosted by Drs. Christina Gardner-McCune, Kyla McMullen, and Jeremy Waisome, I got the opportunity to document an end-of-semester gathering intended to connect the UF Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) graduate students with entertainment offerings in Gainesville. Hard work deserves a respite and BRAGGING RIGHTS Arcade certainly delivered. And according to the U.S. News & World Report, CISE is ranked 13th in the nation, while securing the #1 spot for the highest amount of Black Women Faculty among computer science departments!

Special Thanks to @braggingrightsgnv and the GenNEXT students who let me buzz around their gameplay. DETAILS Camera: iPhone 13 Pro Max Editing software: iMovie Soundtrack: "CUTE 8-BIT MUSIC" by    / @moonbright3703

Girls Can Do It Too is a non-profit organization founded by Nina Grayson designed to create networks of support for young women and girls who have experienced sexual trauma. I’ve created a video highlighting touchstones from a recent email newsletter, in an effort to expand the messaging of this developing organization.
